Day 12: Nativity Night

Standard

Youth Christmas Nativity

Tonight was our church’s annual Nativity Night. We all meet at a local barn that is probably over 100 years old. Inside the barn, there is hay, stacked up like bleachers on one side and on the other side, there is an empty area. This is where our youth puts on the nativity for us. This was Ethan’s first year being involved and he did a great job reading his few lines.

Ever since I was a young girl, our family has had the children (now, it is the grandchildren) put on the Nativity for the adults each Christmas Eve. It has been difficult to get everyone there, but we still attempt to do this, even if it is just our own kids (and it has been some years). It is a fun time! I think that it is my most favorite part of the Christmas preparations.

So happy to be able to spend a little while this evening with our church family and celebrate the reason for the season. 🙂
